About Us
What? How? Why?
- What?: An effort to lower the barrier to learning and innovating through Embedded Systems.
- How?: By creating organised learning tracks which focus on skills.
- Why?: Just because we felt people loose a lot of time trying to research and learn the basics on there own. We feel we can explain the basics very clearly, save time and enable the learner to have impact.Learning embedded systems can be daunting task. The information available on the internet is scattered and not always explained in ways that a beginner can understand and turn into a reliable skill. The team has been through that journey and it took them a decade to feel confident. A lot of time could have been saved had the information been organized in one place and presented in a structured manner.
- With Pyjamacafe, the effort is to organize reliable information in one place.

founders

Electrical Engineer holding a Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, with a proven track record at industry giants. At Intel, contributed expertise to Navigation Firmware, Bluetooth Driver development, and RF validation software.
Currently thriving as an Embedded Software Engineer at Google, drove innovation in Firmware development for the Power Management Sub-system on Tensor SoCs (Pixel Phones) and presently advancing system software for the Pixel Watch.

Computer Engineer holding a Master’s degree in Embedded Systems. Worked on improving the debug architecture of the Bluetooth Firmware at Intel.
Worked on ARM64 architecture, programming and exercising latest ARMv8/v9 extensions - programming in low-level FWs (ARM TF-A, trusty) and kernels (LK and Linux) at Google. Currently exploring the Pixel Watch Kernel and BSP (boot-loaders, Linux Kernel, Android HALs and frameworks).

members from the community who are as passionate as we are and deeply resonate with our goals

Firmware Architect and Technical Leader dedicated to bridging the gap between complex hardware design and seamless software execution. Over 12-year tenure at Intel, pivoted from mastering GNSS stacks for global mobile OEMs to architecting next-generation FPGA configuration and secured boot subsystems.
Expertise lies in HW-SW co-design, led the development of RISC-V based submodules and high-speed DMA engines. Beyond technical architecture, Balaji is passionate about organizational growth—having scaled teams from the ground up and mentored the next generation of technical leads.

Jegan is an Automotive Embedded Systems/Software trainer holding a Master's degree in Automotive Electronics, with 14+ years of experience spanning academia and industry. In academia, served as Assistant Professor teaching Automotive Control Systems, Electric Hybrid Vehicles, and Vehicle Dynamics while establishing a research laboratory for Rapid Control Prototyping and Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation. Guided a Formula Student electric race car project competing at international events in Italy and India.
In industry, progressed through senior roles designing competency frameworks for automotive business units, leading Model-Based Development tools creation, and managing technical delivery across diverse client segments. Currently leading the Embedded and Automotive track within a global talent development function, shaping the next generation of automotive software professionals.
Research interests focus on control strategy development for autonomous vehicles, vehicle dynamics and control, modern automotive software architectures, and vehicle software development. Continues serving on academic boards for automotive electronics programs, bridging industry innovation with academic excellence.

An embedded product engineer who designs PCBs, writes firmware, and enjoys turning ideas into complete, working hardware products from first schematic to final blink.
Engineer by day, Maker by night - playing with electronics since the age of 9. From childhood, I’ve loved tearing things apart, rebuilding them, and learning through hands-on experimentation and how-to videos.
